Japan anti-high heels campaigner steps up to fight 'glasses ban'

A Japanese woman whose campaign against mandatory high heels in the workplace won broad public support has stepped up her fight against strict corporate dress codes -- including a de-facto ban on women wearing glasses.

Actress and freelance writer Yumi Ishikawa shot to prominence this year with her drive against Japanese office culture, in which high heels are seen as near-obligatory when job-hunting or working in the office.

Known by the slogan "#KuToo" -- a play on words from the Japanese word "kutsu", meaning shoes, and "kutsuu", meaning "pain" -- the campaign was chosen on Monday as one of the buzzwords of the year.

Ishikawa's latest petition to relax the rules, delivered to the labour ministry on Tuesday, has attracted more than 31,000 signatures.

"The root cause of the problem is that (there are companies) that have rules for women only -- such as a ban on wearing glasses or a requirement to wear make-up," the 32-year-old told reporters.

"This practice has to be reviewed," she added.

Campaigners had already submitted a petition to the government in June which called for legislation to declare the obligatory wearing of high heels as harassment.

But Ishikawa said progress had been lukewarm and she was "shocked to see there was no mention of high heels" in the government's draft rules published in October.

An official who received the petition said the labour ministry would "consider the petition as one of the opinions" before making a final decision on new government rules to counter harassment in workplace.

One 28-year-old woman contacted by AFP, who asked to remain anonymous, said glasses were banned at her workplace because they give a "cold facial expression".

"I've been wearing glasses for more than a decade because I suffer from dry eye syndrome. I feel uncomfortable wearing contact lenses and am worried that my eye disease may get worse," said the receptionist.

An official at a major employment agency told AFP that come companies asked receptionists to "refrain from wearing glasses" as part of dress codes that also included a ban on dyed hair or unmanicured nails.

Campaigners have said high heels are akin to modern foot-binding while others have urged other dress codes, such as the near-total donning of business suits for men, to be loosened in the Japanese workplace.

So let's talk about an old paradigm that is prevalent and must change, and will change. I'm going to call it - are you ready? - fake news. [Laughter in the audience] This one is a bit different and it has many levels. Let's speak about one in 3D, and then let's go beyond that and talk about the esoteric ones. We speak about the news that you are given, that you believe and trust, that is completely and totally fake. Here you sit today, March 25. What is the big news? "You're going be hit with an amazing geomagnetic storm from the sun. It's an amazing coronal event and the hole produced is astonishing, and it will come slamming into this planet with all of its force, disrupting all communications and potentially knocking out satellites. It might even affect your health!" So, how do you like it so far? [Nothing had happened this day.] It was all over the news!

At the end of this channel, why don't you try to find out what happened? Why the fuss? It's so interesting that the news is so dramatic that it goes viral and, then, when the projected event doesn't happen. there is no news at all about why. What happened?

Another event will come along and be presented in all its drama in the same way, and it won't unfold in any dramatic way either. How many times have you been told the end of the earth is coming? When it does not, there is no one responsible for the fake news that got everyone fearful, is there?

Let me tell you what happened today, for it's an example of the rest of what I wish to discuss. What happened today is, indeed, a sun anomaly, but something that has been seen before. It's very large indeed, this coronal hole, with streams that go past the earth in spectacular ways that have been seen before. If you went to the office of the astronomer and you said to him or her, "What happened today?", they would say, "It's what's happened before. The magnetic grid of this planet absorbed it and it wasn't really that dangerous based on what we have seen before." But why, you might ask, was this reported as a fearful event? They will say, "We made a mistake. We told the news about the storm and they are not astronomers or physicists. They're reporters of drama." So that is what this planet received, dear ones - fake news. If you want to do the research about what happened this weekend, you'll find it was very normal and that it has happened before. It didn't even move the instruments much that astronomers use for measuring these events.

So this is the example we wish to look at right now of fake news. Many things have been completely and totally distorted or taken out of context or actually designed to be false in order to get a reaction - from you. Perhaps it is done to sell products or perhaps to make you cower in fear? But it's part of the current paradigm of your culture. So let's take a look at some of the others.

What are you facing right now on this planet? That little voice inside is going to tell you: "Things are not going to turn out well. Here it is again. Look what's happened in the past. We are overdue for a war." This is completely and totally false. The old energy triggers of your consciousness are still stuck with old tapes playing because of old situational energies, not the one you're in today. Your own mind plays the same tapes over and over because of things that might have happened in certain ways in the past. So this becomes fake news that you are giving to yourself! Profound, it is, if you think about. This propensity for self-deception is the very reason for the study of coherence in the Human, in order to settle those tapes. When you can eliminate the "doom chatter" you'll be able to grasp a truth that is pure and beautiful. The truth that is pure and beautiful is that nothing that happened in the past needs to happen in the future. Reality is not designed that way in this new energy. This future has a completely and totally different paradigm

More Fake News: Your Abilities and Your Health

Here's another one, a big one: This one doesn't come from your own consciousness, but from others who give you information that becomes inbred in you and controls how you think. I speak of those who told you you can't be something or you won't be something. Perhaps they have said you can't do this or you can't do that or this will never work with you or that will never work. Perhaps they were in some authority? It's "implanted fake news" - and you believed it.

A trusted medical doctor will tell you what's going to happen to your aging body, based upon research and the scientific measurement of the day. In an old energy, it might even have been a death sentence! So after a series of tests, they say, "Here's what's going on with you." They look at your brain, your heart, your systems and all the things important with your biology. Then your attitude sinks to a new low and you wonder how you're going to survive! What's going to happen next? Dear one, this is the oldest fake news in your culture. You see, there has been no test or credibility given to Human consciousness - the actual governor of the cells! This fake news wants you to believe that you have no control at all over your chemistry or your processes. You are a complete victim of life itself. Yet we have been telling you for years that your entire cellular structure gets its health from the "boss" - you!

Dear ones, the only thing that stops your cellular structure from taking the instructions you can give it is (ready?) fake news! If your body has already cognized the fake news of your culture, it's very difficult to give your body any instructions. Why? Because you believe the fake news.

This is controversial because people will say, "Well, is the diagnostic correct or not? Is the science correct or not?" The answer is it is correct for the doctor, but not for you. The measurement is correct, but what comes next is often fake news. You believe the cultural fake news and it sinks in and then takes you to a new low level - a place that will enhance your already dysfunctional chemistry. In other words, the fake news makes you worse.

The new consciousness of this planet is one that can look right into the face of this kind of thing and say, "This is only a part of the story." Imagine looking in the face of a disease and saying, "You haven't got a chance, because I love you." Some might say, "How can you say that to a disease?" The answer is because it's alive and has energy rules of its own existence. If you do this, you can disseminate it and it'll go away - actually dissolve. It's an inappropriate energy in the new light. What you're actually doing is to instruct your body: "I love myself too much to let this rule me or kill me or even make me sick." Dear ones, this is a stretch of the imagination for some. But the fake news of your culture says you can't do anything at all. Meanwhile, there is spontaneous remission and nobody seems to know why.

The only news that is true, dear ones, comes right from the creative source that some call God, Spirit, the center of all things. The news is that you are connected to this source in a way that you can sense and become one with. That's your real baseline. That is your main truth, and it's not new. The ancients knew it, and most of your ancestors practiced it. That's the basic truth, not what you hear on the medical news, nor the diagnosis you hear from the doctor, or what your parents have told you, or even your profound teachers - the people who you trusted the most.

The Big One: Your Soul is Doomed

So let's get to the highest level of fake news there is today. Are you ready for this one? The highest fake news there is today is that you were born dirty or that you don't deserve to be here. There is a story that somehow, through some convoluted spiritual mythology, that the greatest love source in the Universe had a war. Some angelic being tried to take over and was cast from "heaven". I will tell you again, dear ones, that God does not think like a Human, does not have a reality like a Human, doesn't have Human nature, and does not have any of the attributes that would even begin to allow for such a low-energy Human-like event. This is the worst form of "humanizing God", as we have discussed before. Like a children's story, humanity has assigned the worst attributes of itself to the creator, and in doing so makes the most loving source in all creation dysfunctional for you.

Because of this fake news, you are told that the Human soul itself has been spoiled even before birth! Again, the darkest energies on this planet through history have inserted themselves into the most divine and spectacular relationship you could ever have, and have given you a dysfunctional God who loves you enough to send you and your children to suffer forever unless you somehow discover a hidden truth that is isolated among a portion of believers on the planet. To make it worse, there are groups of other isolated believers who have other mythology, creating spiritual wars over who has the most dysfunctional God!

So the biggest fake news of all starts at birth and tells you that you can't get ahead. As you grow, your culture, your parents, your reality all tell you about that dysfunctional God and warn you to behave a certain way so you won't be tortured every day when you die by this loving entity who created the heavens and the earth. Unfortunately, the story continues and there's no way to do anything by yourself about this. You see, you were born dirty and you are doomed. Therefore, you are not worthy of that relationship that I teach you about. You are not even allowed to look. If you do, you are labeled as a "strange thinker" and cast out, like so many of you who are reading this.

Let me ask you this: When your child was old enough to understand your language and could look you in the eye and ask, "Mom, Dad, who am I really?", what would you tell them? Perhaps from the depth of the greatest love you have as a mother or a father, would you look at them and say, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but you don't have a chance. You are doomed."? [Laughter from the audience] You're laughing because it's absurd! Yet humanity has put that attribute upon the greatest love in the Universe. Even the most basic child's spiritual logic would tell you this is fake news. So again, I tell you that you are born magnificent with everything functioning in your perfect soul, and with free choice you can look for that piece of God inside.

Free choice is actually what developed fake news on this planet. The low consciousness of the planet is only working at about 35 percent of what is possible. In other words, although everything is there within you, the low energy of the past has dragged it down and beat it up so your amazing consciousness potential doesn't function well. This is the reason for the absurdity of a race that continues to war for thousands of years, over hundreds of cultures, even though this has never solved even one issue.

Now you are in the shift, and suddenly you are in a newer, lighter consciousness, a new area, where eventually you will create peace on Earth. You're functioning better than you ever have before. It's in your news now and can't be covered up.

Mother, father, psychologist: In today's culture, you look in the eyes of a child and tell them they are worthy of being here and that they can go to the top of anything they can conceive. They are beautiful, honored and what they can achieve is unlimited. This is what you tell a child because now you understand what fake news can do to a young mind.

Where are you in the scenario of fake news today? What have you been told you cannot do? What does "modern" medicine say is going to happen to you in your society and at your age? This news is fake. The instruments measure your biology, but they can't measure the magnificence of your consciousness or the healing power of it. How long are you supposed to live? Fake news will give you numbers based on a body without any divine, driving force. It will tell you that you're supposed to "drug up" because you're over a certain age. It's fake news. We have told you this. If your media gives you these things, turn off your media. Find media that is more selective instead of media that targets your group. Go to a place where you can get a more consistent proof that includes alternate healing methods and testimonies from those like you. Dear ones, there are places being developed in your media that will someday include far more integrity and truth about what you can do for yourself and your health, without outside chemistry, and they include "instructing your body with your own consciousness".

Some day there will come a generation that would never, ever tolerate what you see today as fake news. There'll come a generation where those in leadership are going to be measured for how much they get done in their government. Today this is not even on the radar. There will come a day when business executives will have their current compensation hooked entirely to how well their corporation does in their market and how well they treat their employees. In other words, a higher standard of consciousness will be asked for in all leadership. Today, this is only on the horizon. The public will eventually see it and demand it.

Today in the political arena there is a very low consciousness that expects you to slaughter your opponents in public with harsh and untrue information, bringing them to their knees. This fake news should then allow a win for someone at any cost. This system actually keeps those in integrity from running for any office. The result is that you get low-energy leaders, over and over.

There'll come a day when this is seen and immediately recognized as barbaric. Barbaric! The future will laugh at how ridiculous the behavior was of political campaigns in the past, just as today you look at how ridiculous some of your ads were 50 years ago with doctors recommending the bad habit of the day, for compensation. I want you to watch for the fake news and just laugh at it now. See it for what it is.

This is the message of Kryon and the one from many others in this new energy. You're going to hear this information from so many other sources soon. This will eventually turn around and give you the best news you've ever heard about the potential of Humans on this beautiful earth. Dutch cardinal says the pope is endangering church unity

The head of the Roman Catholic church in the Netherlands has written an open letter to the pope, criticising him for ‘creating confusion’ among the faithful and ‘endangering the unity of the church’. 

Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk wrote the English-language letter following a conflict among German cardinals about allowing the non-Catholic partners of Catholics to also take part in the eucharist – the sharing of bread and wine as the body and blood of Jesus. 

The issue ended up with the pope, who urged German cardinals to get round the table and come to a unanimous decision, something with Eijk said is ‘completely incomprehensible’. 

The pope’s failure to give German bishops proper directives, based on the clear doctrine and practice of the church, points to a drift towards apostasy from the truth, he said in the letter, published on an American website. 

Catholic teaching is quite clear and there are only a very few specific exceptions to allowing non-Catholics to participate, the cardinal said. 

He also criticised proposals by some cardinals to bless homosexual relationships. 

This, he says is ‘diametrically opposed to the doctrine of the church… that marriage, according to the order of creation, exists only between a man and a woman.

Fury at Saudi election to UN women's rights group

The decision "is like making an arsonist into the town fire chief," said a watchdog. Saudi Arabia is known for its systematic oppression of women, all of whom are required to have a male guardian.

Rights groups were outraged on Tuesday after an announcement from the United Nations that Saudi Arabia was elected to the body's women's rights commission. Activists found it ludicrous that a nation with one of the worst records ofgender equality on the planet would have a representative on the 45-member committee.

According to the website for the UN Commission on the Status of Women, its mission to "promoting women's rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women."

Discrimination against women 'systematic'

The ultra-conservative kingdom imposes strict segregation between men and women who are not related. Women could not vote in local elections until 2015, and domestic violence was first outlawed in 2013. Saudi Arabia retains the distinctions of the being the only country on earth where women are forbidden to drive motor vehicles.

"Electing Saudi Arabia to protect women's rights is like making an arsonist into the town fire chief," said Hillel Neuer, director of UN Watch - an NGO praised by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan for its work it monitoring the international body.

Hiller also took to Twitter to accuse world powers of accepting bribes or making secret deals in order to vote Saudi Arabia onto the commission.

Neuer continued: "Saudi discrimination against women is gross and systematic in law and in practice. Every Saudi woman must have a male guardian who makes all critical decisions on her behalf, controlling a woman's life from her birth until death…Why did the U.N. choose the world's leading oppressor of women to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women?"

Not everyone saw the decision as a terrible one, however. Helen Clark, the former prime minister of New Zealand, said it was a sign of good faith to Riyadh that its recent steps towards improving the lives of women should continue.

Other still sought to capitalize on the decision. Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders, who recently made headlines for calling Moroccans "scum" and seeking to end Muslim immigration to the Netherlands, took advantage of the situation to promote his party's agenda. The move was not dissimilar to Wilders' pre-election strategy of suggesting that his anti-Muslim rhetoric was partly to protect the rights of LGBT people in the Netherlands.

Saudi Arabia received 47 votes from the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to represent the Asian and Pacific states on the women's rights commission from 2018-2022. According to the report by UN Watch, mathematically, this means that at least 15 liberal democracies most of voted for the kingdom during the secret ballot.

The light and dark balance on the planet is starting to rearrange itself and is going to create more wild cards. Wild cards are "unexpected shifts", things that are often shocking in ways that are not positive or negative, but rather are changes in the paradigm of what was. There are several coming in the form of Human Beings making changes in ways and in places you don't expect. There's one that is way overdue in New York City at the United Nations. It's an old organization with wonderful ideas about helping the planet, but stuck in its own old-energy politics. What will happen there? If you don't see much soon, it may actually cease functioning. Wildcards are not guaranteed. They are timed to match the free choice of those around them. That's what makes a wild card - totally unexpected events. Think of this: An organization set out to create peace on Earth may become more dysfunctional and even fail, or a wild card may come and restructure it all at great controversy and almost no funding. That's what wild cards do.

You may find it in business, in banking or in politics. New ideas never tried before that are radical may exist soon. Expect these kinds of things, but they have to grow on you. There may be some starts and stops. There may be seed planters who don't make it. Then others may come in and make the seeds start growing. That means ideas that were not accepted yesterday may actually be accepted now or in the future. This is because as you evolve, you will see the new wisdom in them. This is all part of the growth process through time.

So this is where you are currently in the change pattern. You are at the beginning of the growth process. All this with a new grid, with very few time fractals to undo, and with a clean slate from historic energies. Are you ready?

Listen: No prophecy at all has been written about what is happening on your planet now. Zero. There are no elders anywhere or channellers anywhere at the moment giving you good, solid prophecy about what's next. This is because you just went through the tunnel of old energy, the old prophecies, and are barely free of them. This is a new energy that you have never experienced before on the planet. According to the best and most popular and accepted prophecies of your time, where are you supposed to be right now? The answer is "dead".

Where is the earth supposed to be right now? The answer is "radioactive". No one can exist on a planet that has had a massive nuclear exchange, no matter what your movies say. It's "goodbye" to Humans on the planet. The whole idea of a post-apocalyptic earth is a fantasy. You don't live when there's that much radiation. It affects everything in the air, in the oceans and the very dust that would have been kicked up by thousands of nuclear explosions would be circling the planet and blocking the sun for decades. Dark - life gone.

Dear one, that is the apocalypse that never took place. Instead, you stand here with your kids and a new planet with hope. You may wonder why I'm enamored with all of you, but you don't really know it, not yet.

In a generation or two, somebody will raise a hand and say, "I couldn't help but notice we're different from those before." This is how long it takes, especially to rewrite the old consciousness of expected doom. Two generations may have to go by before someone raises a hand to say, "Look, the sun's coming out [a metaphor]. It's different." Humans are slow to change, but they may notice attitudes changing and that they have a new road to walk on.

So you want to know what your task is at the moment, dear old soul? Your task is to encourage those around you using your compassion and balance. When you hear them talk about the fact that they cannot get ahead, or that things are horrible on the planet, or what the news said last night, speak up in a loving way. When timed correctly. you can say, "I'm really not onboard with that. I feel we have a positive time ahead. Things are different. Can't you feel it, can't you see it? I think we've got a brighter future. We just need to be patient with it and stop wallowing in the drama others are giving us that influences us and makes us fear everything."   .."

Canada province axes rule forcing women to wear high heels at work

Montreal (AFP) - Believe it or not, some companies in Canada's British Columbia province can force women to wear high heels at work. But not any more.

The premier of the province, Christy Clark, announced Friday that companies can no longer impose such a rule.

"In some workplaces in our province, women are required to wear high heels on the job. Like most British Columbians, our government thinks this is wrong," Clark said Friday.

Clark, who belongs to the Liberal Party, called the practice dangerous and discriminatory.

"There is a risk of physical injury from slipping or falling, as well as possible damage to the feet, legs and back from prolonged wearing of high heels while at work," she added in a statement Friday, co-signed by the province's labor minister, Shirley Bond.

"I expect employers to recognize this very clear signal that forcing someone to wear high heels at work is unacceptable," said Bond.​

Clark has thus endorsed a Green party bill aimed at changing workplace laws so that safety regulations -- including those involving footwear -- are the same for men and women.

A month ago, 25 restaurant chains in Ontario stopped forcing female employees to wear heels and short skirts as part of their uniform.

Saudi advisory council rejects study of women driving

Saudi Arabia's Shura Council, which advises the cabinet, has turned down a proposal to study the issue of women's driving, a Shura member told AFP on Wednesday.

The kingdom has some of the world's tightest restrictions on women, and is the only country where they are not allowed to drive.

At a meeting this week, a male member of the appointed council suggested the study, said another member who declined to be named.

He said the enquiry would have looked at: "What are the difficulties if they start? What is required to allow them to drive?"

But the proposal failed to get the required 50 percent plus one support among the council's 150 members, who include 30 women.

The council can make non-binding recommendations to the government but it has no legislative powers.

Activists say women's driving is not technically illegal but that the ban is linked to tradition and custom.

A slow expansion of women's rights began under the late king Abdullah, who named them to the Shura Council in 2013.

He also announced that women could for the first time vote and run in municipal elections. At least 20 women were elected for the 2,106 contested council seats last December.

Some activists have challenged the driving ban by getting behind the wheel and posting images of themselves online.

Other Saudi women, however, believe change cannot be forced -- a message the kingdom's powerful Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 31, gave in April when he unveiled the Vision 2030 plan for economic diversification and social change.

"So far the society is not persuaded -- and it has negative influence -- but we stress that it is up to the Saudi society," he said, commenting on whether women should drive.

The Vision and its associated National Transformation Programme target an increase in the proportion of female workforce participation from 23 to 28 percent by 2020.

Bernie Sanders and the Movement Where the People Found Their Voice

When Occupy Wall Street started, many people made fun of the protestors and what they stood for. Those who felt satisfied with the current system, where so few can live comfortably from their wages, told the general public that OWS protesters were just lazy people who wanted to live off the government. Today, those same people are very surprised at the power of Bernie Sanders movement – a movement that is finally talking about the most important economic and social issues. Bernie gave people their voices back and inspired many to join and raise their voices against the status quo, believing that only united we can move forward toward a more just system for all.

Bernie is a metaphor for the change this country needs to start rebuilding its middle class. His supporters are standing up and talking about the demise of the working class in the United States. Sen. Sanders has already been able to awaken millions of people while reminding them that it’s their right to ask for living wages, for health care, for the closure of offshore tax havens, for a formal and enforced end to financial crimes, for strength and hope to move towards justice and refuse to accept things as they currently stand.

It provides some perspective to recall this article from 2015 when no one in the mainstream took Bernie seriously, when the establishment labeled him as too radical and too crazy to understand their politics. This is because he was never afraid to speak his mind without coloring it to fit the expedient needs of politics, and to please those who want the truth to stay hidden.

Fast forward to mid-2016 and we see that those politicians who sold our democracy to the highest bidder knew nothing about the American people – namely, that we've had enough and we were ready to feel the Bern. They didn't know that this country has been waking up, more every day, with more people joining and realizing what has been done to us and how we can fix it together.

I have written numerous articles for this site about the aftermath of mortgage and foreclosure fraud, and how millions of people lost their homes due to the biggest scam of our generation. Bernie is the only senator (aside from Elizabeth Warren) who has constantly spoken about this crime, never retreating from his position of holding Wall Street accountable for their criminal behavior. He is the one who has called for uncovering and stopping tax havens so that corporations get off our backs and start paying their fair share of taxes – not to mention paying their workers decent wages so that our country doesn’t have to provide food stamps to people working full time.

Most of all, Sen. Sanders is bringing back people's confidence, reminding Americans of their power when they unite and stand up for justice. His recent voting record includes votes on bills to: make the Federal Reserve more transparent; prohibit liability immunity for corporations that break user agreements; bring jobs back to America; protect women's health from corporate interference; and establish a new and more equitable minimum wage.

The American people have been waiting a long time for someone to actually represent them. That means protecting them from the fraud and corruption that is happening in the name of lobbying. Those with money are sending lobbyists to Congress to change existing laws and make new ones; meanwhile, many representatives who were elected to serve the people are leaving their government positions to go into lobbying careers, or working for those they used to regulate and oversee.

Lost in the shuffle, the people are left to wait the next turn, and then the next, and the next, and one day they realize that life has flown by and nothing has changed except that their kids are now in a worse position that they were – with so much student debt after college that it’s hard to start contemplating even more debt when it comes to buying a house or continuing with higher education. What happened, and how did we get here, to this point where our kids’ future is no longer promising, where they’re working low-paid jobs with their college degrees while those on the other side – those who perpetrated some of the biggest financial crimes in history – are getting richer and our politicians are still protecting them?

The time has come to give a chance to someone who has fought for this country and its people all his life, who stood by his words and never labeled Wall Street fraud as mere “shenanigans” the way his opponent, Hillary Clinton, has done. The country needs Bernie Sanders more than ever; we need his honesty and his fearlessness when he calls out the deeds committed by bankers by their real name: crime and fraud.

Young people recognize this and that is why they’re supporting Bernie in huge numbers. Young people are aware that this is their future that is on the line and that this is the moment when they still have the time, energy and belief to make this change come. We must be determined to change the status quo because if we give up now, the status quo will only change for the good of corporations, Wall Street and all those who have enough money to influence our politicians. The people, the working and middle classes, will continue to struggle to keep up with bills, with high health insurance costs, with no health insurance, with helping their kids escape student debt, and doing all this while their retirement comes and they're left with nothing. Even our social security is in jeopardy of getting privatized and put in the hand of Wall Street gamblers.

It's hard to bring about major change in any society. It takes years to build a progressive movement and see it in action. Our generation is witnessing history in the making. Now it is up to us to do our part and push forward for a better world. Here is how: We need to start voting for people who do not profit from every war; people who won't take contributions from foreign governments and then sell them arms; people whose companies and their friends' companies won't profit from oil in countries we "liberate"; people who won't send bankers to work with corrupt politicians in those countries in order to further in-debt their citizens; people who won't help dictators come to power.

Privilege is to pick Hillary over Bernie, and to say to Bernie supporters that you must "be with her" since she is better than Trump while forgetting that you once had the option to choose the candidate who is for the people and not the banks, the corporations and the status quo. The decision is now.

With loving greetings from all souls at this station, this is Matthew. Let us ease your minds about issues that are causing some anxious moments. First, with climate change a topic of global discussion, there is talk about the seas covering islands and inundating coastal areas up to mountain ranges and people by the millions being drowned. That will not happen—Earth is not going to endanger the lives of her beloved residents during her return to a moderate climate globally. As polar ice and glaciers continue melting, water levels will continue to rise slowly and in small measure overall, and residents of potentially affected areas—sea-level islands, parts of continental coastlines, banks of your largest rivers, and low-lying countries—will have plenty of time to take any necessary preventive action or relocate.

Then there is the prophecy that a sudden pole shift is going to devastate the planet. It would be devastating if the shift were to happen abruptly, but it won’t. Eighty-some years ago Earth’s axis was so out of balance that she was in danger of flying out into space and certain destruction. Powerful civilizations beamed massive light to stabilize Earth’s orbit and enable her to start on an ascension course, and that was the onset of the pole’s ongoing gradual shifting.

Other readers are concerned about Earth’s trajectory into a collision course with a planet that some think is Nibiru and others think is a recently-detected planet considerably larger than Earth. Some information being circulated about this speculative situation is solely to create fear, but lack of knowledge is the root of most. Your astrophysicists don’t know that for more than eight decades Earth has been journeying into successively higher energy planes, thus they are mystified and alarmed by seeing new celestial bodies. We reassure you, dear family, Earth will continue traveling safely and steadily all the way to her destination in fifth density!

Emails about the United States’ presidential election have been coming in for well over a year, and now that two individuals have been designated as their parties’ presumptive nominees, my mother’s inbox is filling with questions about who will win. Based on the ever-accelerating vibrations that are undergirding people with moral and spiritual integrity and exposing those who lack that quality, we are seeing the likelihood that neither of the presumptive nominees will become president, Senator Bernie Sanders will. If the vibratory momentum continues, the likelihoodof his winning will keep moving toward certainty in Earth’s energy field of potential and in November, the voters will elect a wise, honest president.

Always we are happy to receive your questions and comments, and especially at this stage of Earth’s transformative process, we welcome those that give us the opportunity to offer guidance to new soul-searchers. “Awakening can be a very lonely and often confusing endeavor. Can Matthew offer any advice to Lightworkers who seem to have come under psychic attack for the purpose of confusing them and making them less effective in their work?”

Awakening is profoundly different from anything you can remember, and if none of your family or friends has mentioned anything similar, hesitation to speak about what you are experiencing is natural; and the realization that you are a part of God can seem overwhelming, as if it is a sacrilege to even think of yourself that way. The combination of feeling lonely and bewildered about your higher state of awareness and accepting your god-self can be stressful indeed and thought of as a psychic attack. When vibratory levels were much lower because darkness still enshrouded the planet, the bright auras of lightworkers did make them targets for dark attacks. Now the light on the planet is too intense for that, but via the universal law of attraction, thoughts about being attacked reach energy streamers with like sensations and bring them back to you.

Please replace those kinds of thoughts with the knowledge that never are you alone! Not only are your guardian angel and spirit guides constantly at your side, but many souls are having an awakening experience somewhat like yours and others are confidently moving along the path of self-discovery. Often spiritual and metaphysical bookshops host groups of like-minded individuals or post notices of social meet-ups, seminars and workshops. General bookstores carry books in that genre, too, and if you feel uncertain which to choose, ask within to be led to those that will be most enlightening. Search the Internet for sites with postings by kindred spirits and messages from light beings such as Patricia Cota-Robles, and always you can ask for divine help to feel self-confident and excited about awakening. Soon you will ease into a joyful relationship with your god-self and avenues will open to areas where you can serve the light effectively and with deep satisfaction.

“Can you ask Mathew how we can find out our life purpose while here on earth?” The best way to find out what you chose as your life purpose also is the simplest: Pay attention to messages from soul-level to your consciousness—intuition, instinct, inspiration, aspiration and conscience. When you follow those guidelines that are specifically aligned with choices in your soul contract, you will have a strong sense of moving smoothly along life’s pathway as opposed to struggling with decisions and perhaps asking others what they think is the most logical direction for you.

“Is it true dark beings are being removed from Earth and taken to an alternate holographic Earth? If so this would be great since it decreases the darkness on this planet and speeds up the timetable towards full disclosure. And what is meant by we live in a holographic universe or matrix, is 3D a dream and higher dimensions are real or is it all just a projection of our consciousness?” Dark beings leave Earth the same way light beings do, death of the physical body; and, like light beings, they enter the part of Nirvana, Earth’s spirit world, where the energy corresponds to the energy they generated throughout the Earth lifetime.

There are good explanations of the holographic universe in books and Internet articles insofar as your cosmologists have discovered. They have mathematically concluded that the universe began with the Big Bang, but they have yet to understand that science and spirit—or, energy and cosmic consciousness—are one and the same: the love-light essence of Creator, the most powerful force in the cosmos and Source of everything in existence.

Higher dimensions are real, and it isn’t entirely correct to say that 3D is just a projection of one’s consciousness. Whatever a person believes, however far from factual it may be, is that person’s reality, and most likely you would get a serious argument from anyone whom you tried to convince that what he or she believes is “just a projection of your consciousness.” However, what seems real in your 3D world is a “ dream ,” or better said, an illusion, and we can explain this no more clearly than it was in a message several years ago. Mother, please find that message and copy the pertinent part. We think it will be especially helpful to awakening souls and perhaps to long-time lightworkers, too.

By definition an illusion is deceptive, something perceived as real but without basis in reality. The illusion of third density is that there is this one life on Earth, then you die and afterwards, according to many, there’s a nebulous place that’s either a blessed or a hellfire-and-brimstone “afterlife” where you stay forevermore. The reality is that this is but one of many hundreds or many thousands of experiences of a soul that is living in many different forms and locations simultaneously in the universe.

The illusion is that you are your body, your personality, your characteristics, your feelings, your achievements, and incidentally, you have a soul that goes God only knows where when you die. The reality is that you are the soul, a part of God, inseparable from Him and all other souls in this universe; you are having the physical experience that you chose to balance other lifetimes; and you are an eternal being.

The illusion is, according to one’s religious affiliation, that the Supreme Being of this universe is correctly portrayed only by your religion and His laws as interpreted by your religion are absolute. The reality is that the Supreme Being of this universe is subordinate to Creator, the Supreme Being of the cosmos; God is an amalgamation of all souls, all life forms, throughout this universe and He knows every thought and feels every feeling of every life; He cannot interfere with Creator’s law of free will when souls veer from their pre-birth agreements, so it is not His “will be done”; although we commonly say “He,” God, or the Source by your name selection, is the epitome of androgyny, perfectly balanced male and female energies; and He didn’t devise religions—a few of his misguided god-self parts did.

The illusion is that evil is the opposite of godliness. The reality is that darkness is the absence of light, the absence of love and spiritual clarity.

The illusion is that Earth is a small, solid planet whose residents are the only verifiable intelligent life in the universe. The reality is that Earth is a soul with a planetary body that is home to beings within, on and above her, and her surface residents for the most part are far less advanced spiritually, intellectually and technologically than many other civilizations.

Yes, each soul has his or her own illusion as it pertains to self, every facet of the lifetime, planet Earth, and the Source of All, but ultimately all will share the same universal reality. [ May 23, 2005 ]

Thank you, Mother. The rash of suicide bombings has evoked numerous questions, and first we say, becoming a suicide bomber never is part of a soul contract. Because each person’s contract is one part of a pre-birth agreement made with others who want to share the lifetime, it must include not only a person killing someone to balance the experience of being killed and a person who chose to be killed to balance another lifetime, but must offer all other participants opportunities to experience what they chose for soul evolvement.

It is so that some agreements do include souls who want to transition as a group. In such a case, it is in service to all the others, who need to experience whatever emotional and financial hardships may follow the group’s transitional event. Depending upon the number of souls involved—the number can vary from comparatively few to many thousands—the event may be a mode of transportation that wrecks, troops in combat, family members living in a war zone, a natural disaster or rapid spread of a virulent disease.

Some young people who become suicide bombers are indoctrinated from childhood onward to believe that they must defend their religion by killing people of other religions, and they act upon that powerful form of mind control. Their lifetime review in Nirvana is very difficult emotionally as they feel the full extent of suffering that their final act caused to others. Because they acted in accordance with potent programing, they do not incur harsh karmic lessons, and their next lifetime will be dedicated to helping the neediest people in a third density civilization that has started to awaken spiritually and consciously.

Suicide bombers who are adults when they decide to become terrorists act upon a radically distorted sense of empowerment that is bereft of caring about the consequences for others. In addition to an extremely painful lifetime review, suffering exactly as did all persons whose lives were affected by their self-destruction, they will experience one or more difficult lifetimes in a low third density civilization where the karmic merry-go-round is going full tilt. That self-consignment isn’t determined only by these individuals’ final act; it is that the energyof their desire to kill as many people as possible and of the act itself is so dark that it supersedes all other aspects of their lifetimes.

A Belgian reader who lives near the Brussels airport wrote: “ I must admit that it becomes ever more difficult to keep up positiveness and faith in humanity’s future. I don't know what to tell other people anymore when subjects like these [suicide bombings] are discussed. It also becomes more and more difficult to stay convinced that after this life another existence is waiting. I am wondering if other readers of your messages undergo the same doubts. If they too feel not connected to any out of the body world anymore.”

Loss of faith in the future of humanity is an understandable reaction to violence when people you know have been directly affected, and while you may not think of “detachment” from the world as a form of divine grace, it is—it is giving the heart and mind a respite from shock and despair and sadness. In such times, it is difficult to think of a life after this one and derive any comfort from what may seem only a nebulous idea, that there is a glorious spirit world of love and peace. But holding fast to that reality is what will uplift the spirit and restore faith in humankind’s determination and ability to make this world a far better place than it is this moment. Beloved brothers and sisters, please do not doubt that this transformation within Earth’s civilization is happening!

As for speaking with people about tragic events, let your genuine feelings flow. Crying is ever so much healthier than stoically suppressing feelings, so let tears come in abundance. Ask for divine help to heal; see the beauty in Nature; think of the miracle of birth, the innocence of little children and devotion of your pet; know that there is far, far more good than bad in your world and the light is continuously strengthening good, weakening bad. Your expression, “Time heals all things” is only partly true—it is how you use time that brings healing, a return to well-being and positivity, or not.

Now I am speaking just as Matthew to say that stress made its way into our last message. Attributing the devastation of Haiti to a hurricane instead of an earthquake was a rare instance of my mother’s thought— and a lapse in your memory, Mother —overriding my transmission. She is dismayed that the week of stress about her computer’s technical difficulties, which blocked her site and email address, permitted her momentary departure from clearly hearing my words.

We bid you farewell for this moment only as we are forever with you in unconditional love.
