Eindhoven
city council has told Occupy activists on the Prins Claus square to pack their
things and move.
An
injunction brought by one of the occupiers, who demanded the right to camp on
the square for another fortnight, was defeated in court on Friday. The council
wants the camp moved to a car park near the station.
Earlier
this week, Amsterdam’s occupiers agreed to scale down its camp on the Stock
Exchange square. The movement decided to end its campsite demonstration and
replace it with one large tent for daytime debates and activities. The only people
staying on site overnight will be guarding the press centre and equipment.
